Secretary's Report
Minutes of the November 1996 meeting were reviewed and changes were made. Motion made by Jack Weaver to accept. Edie Stem seconded the motion. The minutes were approved.
Treasurer's Report
Current figures were unavailable, as Becky Peters was not at meeting. A full report to be provided at a later date. Minutes of this meeting to be updated.
Judy Bemis to work with Becky Peters on reporting MagiCon data to Worldcon.
Chairman's Report
Joe Siclari reported the FAN History Project was working well. At the time of this meeting, there were at least 800 hits a month on the FAN History Web page. Quite impressive! More interest in the project had been generated at FanHistoricon (held at Boskone in February 1997), then Midwest Con and more recently at Worldcon in San Antonio.
Joe thanked Judy Bemis and Jack Weaver for their efforts in making the web site possible. Jack maintained the web site and incorporated the pictures and text. Judy was commended for typing hundreds of pages of text from fanzines and other items.
Joe also informed the FANAC Members that George Flynn (from Boston) has been proof reading text that Judy has been supplying. Many thanks to George! A general discussion followed concerning web page capability and computer storage. No action items resulted from this discussion.
Joe also reported the museum site at the San Antonio Worldcon went extremely well. Several fans donated items to be placed on the web site. These included:
* Fran Mullen Dianetics; Fanzines
* Bruce Pelz Correspondence from Elmer Perdue /Letters between Robert Bloch and Forry Ackerman
* Teddy Harvia Hugo & Nebula Award data
At Worldcon, the following fans helped set up the Fan History Project Booth:

Old Business
* Discussion occurred on Servicemarks. Attorney Howard Gell was hired to turn in the proper filings (for U.S. Only).
* Oral History Organization donation of MagiCon tapes
Now Business
Joe reported that Judi Goodman (SFSFS Chairman) and Peter Popovich (OASFis) have discussed the running of a miniSmofoon. No Action item resulted from this discussion.
Dues Notification
1998 Dues are due. The Secretary is to send out dues notices to all current FANAC Members. Currently that list Includes:

Nominating Committee for 1998 officers
Due to circumstances beyond control, a motion was made to waive the normal procedures concerning nominations for 1998 Officers. Jack Weaver made the motion and Edie seconded. The members present passed the motion.
1998 Officers
A second motion was made to reinstate the current officers for 1998 and to elect Judy Bemis and Edie Stem as membersatlarge. Jack Weaver made the motion and Edie seconded. The 1998 FANAC, Inc Officers are as follows:
