Transportation

San José is well connected by most forms of transport. The local public transit system is very good, but be warned that it only applies to the area around San José, not the whole of the San Francisco Bay Area. The following pages provide detailed information about getting to and around San José:

Airports
Railroads
Light Rail
Roads
Buses
Kevin Standlee's original transit guide to San José
Kevin's comprehensive transit guide to getting to ConJosé from just about anywhere.

NOTE: No Caltrain service Saturday and Sunday. See the RRX schedule for more info.

Downtown San José may be clogged with the Tapestry street fair. Plan your transportation carefully.

Photographs of transit systems in San José's and the Bay Area are available through several of the above pages.
