WSFS - Rules

The World Science Fiction Society is governed by a Constitution. In addition there are Standing Rules for the conduct of meetings and various rulings of precedent (known as Resolutions of Continuing Effect). The versions of all of these documents that were in effect as of the start of ConJosé can be found here. The current versions of these documents (post-ConJosé) can be found here.

The general conduct of the Business Meeting is normally governed by the local parliamentary rules of the country in which the Worldcon takes place. In the case of ConJosé the procedures used are those given by the current (10th) edition of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised.

WSFS's governing documents and Robert's Rules of Order are both necessarily written in legalistic language. If you would like help understanding these documents please contact ConJosé's Parliamentarian, Kevin Standlee, at wsfs@conjose.org.
