AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ROG PHILLIPS !!!

Quote" I will continue to write for AS and FA. I will now be having to write for a new editor who will tell me what type of stories to write, and see that I conform with his standards. Then my story should improve contually until they are just like all the rest of STF.

"However, when the urge to write a real STF story grows too strong, as it will at least once a month, I will write a Rog Phillips story for OTHER WORLDS. That is a threat!

"In addition to all of that, however, Scott Meredith is my agent, and I plan to more or less follow his orders on what to wirte and who for.

"In that line I have a Pocket Book which will appear on the stands either Oct. or Nov. 4, an original 50,000 word story titled "Time Trap." And I have just finished adapting the story "M '--Bong-Ah" for Pocket Book publication. And tho it is fairly certain it is sold, I will not know till I get to New York, where I am going after the Cinvention.

" I have hired Ackerman as my agent on all mss. sent back to me from Scott Meredith with instructions that his territory lies strictly south of the Rio Grande, and that I will go through with this if he will promise to take such rejected mss. and go there since the only kind of a punch he can throw is south of the Rio Grande.

"There is no truth in the rumor that Ackerman married me. Also Laine and Burbee have recently assured me that they have not changed their last name to Ackerman.

" I want to say that this is the first Convention I've attended, but that for the first day it's far more wonderful than I'd expected, and if the crowds here (thanks to the Club House) are any criterion, it will surpass all past cons."Unquote
