BULLSHEET MEDIA WATCH

Multiverse managed to garner a fair amount of media coverage,
including articles in the Herald Sun and Age on Saturday 7/9/96,
plus a few television news snippets. Most concentrated on the
30th anniversary of the first American screening of Star Trek.
On the same basis, Robert Jan and Paula Rusak got the cover
article on the Sunday Age Television magazine for their article
on the history of Star Trek.

FAN FUNDS
John Foyster, the first winner of GUFF, has finally published
the trip report from his 1979 trip to SeaCon. It runs to 103
pages and is available from the current GUFF administrators Ian
Gunn and Karen Pender-Gunn at P.O. Box 567 Blackburn 3130 for
$10. (I don't know if that includes postage.) So far it appears
that Janice Murray is the only nominee for the 1997 DUFF race,
to bring a North American fan to BasiCon Two. New deadline for
nominations in 1997 DUFF Race to Australasia: 1 December 1996.
Nominees require three North American nominators and two
Australian nominators.

IN PRINT
The World Fantasy Award nominations for She's Fantastical and
"Angel Thing", noted in the BS #60 were reported in The Sunday
Age 15/9/96

PEOPLE
Stephen Dedman's story "From Whom All Blessings Flow" (Asimov's,
4/95) was nominated for the inaugural Sidewise Awards for
Alternate History in the Short Form Category. The winner was
Stephen Baxter for "Brigantia's Angels" (Interzone 91)
